Want to become a professional photographer? Fulham FC might be able to help

Iona Bain

The world of football has once again stepped in to give young people a huge opportunity – as long as they are nifty with a camera.

Those who fancy breaking into sports photography are being invited to apply for a unique course being offered by Fulham FC and The Wembley to Soweto Foundation.

Over the course of three weeks, eight successful applicants will learn how to take top notch photos at Fulham’s match days and the Varsity Football Match at Twickenham.

Participants will also be encouraged to take pictures in their own communities before the final results are put on display at a London gallery, The Lyric Hammersmith and Fulham Football Club itself.

Previous alumni have since had their work shown on ITV, the BBC and a variety of national newspapers.

All eight places on the course are fully funded and camera equipment will be provided.

The deadline for applications runs until January 4th 2016. To apply and get more details, contact susan@wembleytosoweto.com.
