It’s our first birthday today!

Iona Bain

We’re almost approaching the first birthday of the Young Money Blog!

Yes, it’s been a year since a cub journalist looked around her, saw the bewilderment and alienation in the faces of broke young people,  and decided to do something about it!

I set up the blog to offer guidance, solidarity and information about all the biggest personal finance issues affecting 16 – 30 year olds. From my very first blog on the con surrounding festival tickets to scoops on the Money Advice Service and Wonga Facebook tactics, the posts have all been written to give young people a voice and help us all get to the bottom of what’s really going on out there.

I want to say thanks to those who have read the blog, offered feedback and got in touch.

Here’s to another year (and hopefully many more to come!)

    Hello,
I just came across your site ( http://youngmoneyblog.co.uk ) and wanted to see if you were interested in working with me. I would really like to guest post on your website and would like to brainstorm with you on some ideas that could be interesting to your visitors.
I have been working in online marketing for a number of years and I could help promote the article and your site on all the social media channels.

Here are some examples of the work I have done recently:

I look forward to hearing from you.
    Kind regards,
